A laser meter is a tool that is used to measure distances, but unlike the traditional tape measure, it is digital and uses a laser light beam that is projected from the device to the point where the measurement is to be taken.

The most relevant feature of a laser meter is its accuracy, which far exceeds the use of traditional tape measures, because it offers a minimum margin of error that varies according to the brand and model, but is generally of a few percent. ±2 mm.

The product can be used in civil engineering, surveying, technical projects or at home.

The device is designed to operate in a temperature range of 0° C to 40° C.

The versatility and convenience offered by this device is exceptional, as it can not only measure long distances, but it also makes triangulations, the calculation of areas or volumes2 point measurement, 2-point measurement, height measurement and double height measurement.

How does a laser rangefinder work?

The laser rangefinder works by measuring the time of flight of a laser light beam.

Why laser light?

A laser light beam travels in a focused manner, i.e. the light is not scattered. Because of this, when it bounces off the object it still maintains sufficient intensity to travel back to the emitter, i.e. the rangefinder.
