INSTRUCTIONS FOR LAYING ARTIFICIAL GRASS

The placement of the Artificial Turf is relatively easy, but requires a certain amount of skill. Here are the steps to follow for a perfect installation and for you to enjoy the pleasure of installing it yourself:

1.- We prepare the ground to smooth the relief. It is advisable to remove all existing debris in the area where the Artificial Grass is to be installed, such as branches, stones, etc., and then level the ground. To compact the ground, add water to the levelled surface to create a firm and well compacted base.

(This first step, in the case of terraces or concrete floors, is not necessary as we have a firm base).

2.- Place a Weed control netting o Geotextile directly on the levelled ground to prevent the growth of weeds, as well as acting as a mattress or separating layer between the Artificial Turf and the ground.

(As in the first step, in the case of terraces or concrete floors, it is not necessary to place weed control netting or geotextile).

3.- In some outdoor installations (gardens, swimming pools, etc...), it is advisable to fill the entire installation area with gravel or gravel to facilitate drainage in the event of heavy and sudden rainfall, and to spread as evenly as possible.

(As in the previous steps, in the case of terraces or concrete floors, this advice is not necessary).

4.- We open and extend the rolls of Artificial Grass before handling, leaving them for several hours in the sun.

This step is very important before starting the installation, as it will eliminate the tensions and defects that the base and the fibres of the grass may have picked up during the rolling process.

We then start laying the Artificial Grass by calculating the lengths and adjusting them with a special carpet cutter. All sections of artificial grass should be laid in the same direction (vertical or horizontal within the installation area).

Important: Watch out for any folds that may be created when spreading the roll for a perfect and uniform installation. We must also leave the rainwater drainage points free.

5.- We ensure the bonding and anchoring between the pieces of Artificial Grass using Adhesive Bonding Tape or Bonding Tape + Adhesive Glue special for Artificial Grass (Both options have the same function).

We place a strip between the junction of 2 pieces and apply a layer of adhesive glue.

For installations on terraces or concrete floors, place around the perimeter where we are going to install the Artificial Grass, a band of Bonding Tape and Adhesive Glue (Adhesive Bonding Tape is not double-sided, so we would not achieve the desired result in this case).

In the case of in-ground installations and after laying the Artificial Grass, use the Fixing ClampsThey are placed approximately 1 metre apart all around the perimeter, and are also installed between the joints to avoid any separation and to achieve a total fastening on the ground.

6.- Once the installation is complete, brush or comb the entire Artificial Turf in the opposite direction to lift the yarns, achieving a completely homogeneous surface.

Our Artificial Grass is decorative, not sporty, so it is not prepared for aggressive use. In addition, here are the main tips to maintain and keep it in good condition:

1.- Clean spilled liquids, animal droppings, mud, etc... with pressurised water.

2.- Wind and rain or constant foot traffic can flatten the grass fibres. The surface must be brushed and ballasted to restore it to its original shape.

3.- In very hot weather it is advisable to cool the lawn by watering it for a couple of minutes with a hosepipe.
